Day 1

Yesterday was our first day of classes. The morning started with our director, Dr. Robert Case, giving a brief devotional. The rest of the morning was spent in lectures with Dr. William Edgar of Westminster Seminary. He is teaching for three days and talking about how worldview affects journalism and helping us to be sure that we understand and acknowledge our worldview as Christians. He also spoke in the afternoon…focusing mainly on the issue of "Calling." It was very encouraging because he talked about the fact that as journalist or even someone in the so called "secular" arts, are in a calling just as high and important as "full-time Christian ministry."

Our luncheon speaker was Andree Seu of WORLD magazine. She talked about blogging, its challenges and rewards.

In the evening Dr. Case spoke on the marks of a Christian journalist.

It was definitely a wonderful first day.
